200g carbon Fibre 200g 2/2 Twill
This is a woven carbon fibre fabric using 3k in both the warp and the weft. With its diagonal pattern it is probably the most popular fabric in use today. With its diagonal pattern it is highly sought after for its aesthetic characteristics along with the properties of strength, durability and weight.
The 2/2 twill is seen as the ‘standard’ look for carbon fibre. Twill is a type of textile weave with a pattern of diagonal parallel ribs, this is done by passing the weft threads over one more of the warp threads and then under two warp threads with a ‘step’ or ‘offset’ between rows to create the diagonal pattern.
The 200g 2/2 twill is the most popular carbon fabric in use and finds applications throughout the composite industry where a decorative finish combined with excellent mechanical properties are required. Typically used in the aerospace, marine, automotive, furniture (chairs, tables etc.) and many other applications.
This product is suitable for the following applications;
· Vacuum bagging
· Pre-preg production
· Hand laminating
· Resin infusion
· Shrink wrapping
Composites4U recommends the use of epoxy resins with this fabric.
